Unlike the girls fishing trip the boys actually work extremely hard throughout the night to catch the personal use limit George has this year. They have both been looking forward to this trip for a while. They would have gone before the girls fishing trip but the weather has been too nice, causing lots of run-off from melting glaciers and keeping the Copper River dangerously high. The charter boats even stopped running and evacuated the river for almost a week. They left the house around 11 am this past Tuesday morning and arrived back at 7pm the next evening with 39 beautiful Copper River Reds (sockeyes) and great stories to tell.
