A couple of weeks ago we went on a four-wheel drive excursion with our friends, Dannielle and Britt (the ones we spent a week with in Juneau, AK, over the summer). The route began in the Panamint Valley, went up Goler Wash, over Mengel Pass and down Warm Springs Canyon back into Death Valley. It took a good day and a half. We spent the night at the Geologists Cabin which is open to the public in Striped Butte Valley. We had a great time and saw tons of wildlife!
