A few weeks ago Andrew and I took a trip to Dixie National Forest in Utah. It was only a five hour drive, and a huge bonus was finding a Cracker Barrel just across the Utah border. Last Spring I had read about a hike that was supposed to be just as spectacular as the Angels Landing hike in Zion NP. It is in the mountains just north of Zion and it overlooks the mountains to the south in Zion NP. We didn't make it before the snow fell and were quite surprised at how much snow there was on the ground. There was a good six inches in most areas and in some spots there was as much as ten inches. It was a great surprise because we love the snow, so we had a fabulous time. Next year we hope to get there sooner and do the entire trail in the fall foliage.
